Board Of Directors Scholarship
The Society board offers a "Board of Directors" scholarship. The award is a retooling of the longstanding Roy Janz award. The award is $500, and a certificate, and is available to a Society student member or affiliate. The applicant must apply online, have finished Intermediate Accounting, intend to write the CPA exam and become a CPA. A narrative is also expected, describing why the individual is pursuing a CPA credential. Staff will select three finalists, based on the narrative content and such preference items as Society involvement, intent to pursue a career in this state and other factors. To apply for the award, complete the award application.
Student membership is available to juniors and seniors who plan to become CPAs, and is available for up to two years after graduation (or until the exam is completed). Affiliate status is available more broadly, to those actively pursuing the CPA credential. Apply.
