Becoming a CPA

Becoming a CPA has three main steps – education, examination and experience. When your education is done, or just about done, you can file an application with the Board of Accountancy and get approved to start writing the four-section computerized CPA Exam. There are test sites in Bismarck and Fargo, as well as around the country. After completing the Exam, you’ll complete a self-study Ethics course. You’ll also need to complete a year of experience. You can then be issued your CPA Certification.
