Application and data integration paint a picture of an "information utopia" where systems can talk to each other seamlessly and managers always have the data they need. The reality is that accessing data from transactional systems and managing it to support operational, tactical, and executive decision making is a challenge.
- Understand the increasing role of the CPA with respect to:
- Analyzing the business reporting environment
- Assessing the impact of application & data integration on the enterprise reporting process
- Bridging between business units and developing high-level technical architecture "blueprints" for ensuring data quality
